A business unit of a large manufacturing company is looking for a Plant Controller for their location in Katy, Texas.Responsibilities include:• Ensure the effective design, development, implementation, measurement, and management of finance and accounting systems to continuously increase capability and performance • Build and lead a team of committed and capable employees to ensure successful delivery of finance services aligned with business objectives • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, corporate company credit cards, travel and living expense reports, fixed assets, payroll processing, and inventory transactions • Ensure the monthly and annual closing process results in timely and accurate financial statements• Provide accurate product costs for quoting and for cost improvement tracking • Calculate and report the cost of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory • Calculate and prepare the business unit financial budget for the fiscal year • Provide timely and accurate data to external financial audit firm • Ensure timely and accurate labor, material, and overhead reportsIdeal candidate will have:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • 5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment• Demonstrated standard cost accounting experience• Demonstrated experience leading a team • Intermediate Excel and ERP experience is required, Oracle a plus.Compensation is up to 130K.For confidential consideration please forward your resume to karen.amoroso@roberthalf
